What is Django a Gogo?
The 2017 festival will mark the 10th anniversary of Django a Gogo. What started as a single night event at Barbes in Brooklyn, has become the best touring Django Reinhardt festival in the United States.
To celebrate this very special anniversary we are starting our own, week long music camp and concert series February 28th – March 5th.
The capstone concert will take place on Friday, March 3 at the legendary Carnegie Hall in New York City.
Where is Django a Gogo?
The music camp, and nightly concert series will be held at the beautiful Woodland in Maplewood, NJ. More information on this venue is available here.
The special Friday night concert will be held just over the bridge in Manhattan at the most prestigious theater in the world, Carnegie Hall.

What is included with my camp ticket?
A week long camp with some of the greatest guitar masters in the world.
A box seat at Carnegie Hall to the capstone performance.
Nightly concerts with a “who’s who” of Gypsy Jazz.
Student performances for the local community on March 5th.
More jamming then you can shake a stick at!
What is not included in the camp?
Where will I sleep?:
The town of Maplewood is conveniently located 18 miles from New York City, and just 5 miles from Newark Liberty International Airport. The proximity to both the city and the airport provide participants with a large number of hotel options and accommodations.
However, the hotels closest to Maplewood are as follows: You will find a discount code next to each to use for a hotel room discount for music camp attendees.
We will be helping shuttle students to from these hotels and helping to arrange car pools with other students from this hotels.
Where will I eat?:
The town of Maplewood is a culinary delight. A town brimming with restaurants and cafés.
Upon arrival to camp you will be given a town map which will show you all the local establishments, and will highlight the ones providing camp attendees discounts on their purchases. For more information about the community of Maplewood click here
How will I get there?
Flying into the area is easy with Newark Liberty International Airport just minutes away.
Trains arrive from New York City twice an hour just two blocks away from the camp venue.
Maplewood is located just off of Interstate 78 in New Jersey.
How will I get to Carnegie Hall?
Practice, practice, practice…Sorry we couldn’t resist.
Just two blocks away from The Woodland, trains arrive twice hourly bound for Penn Station in New York City.
Upon arrival at Penn station, it is a nice 15-block walk north to the theatre, or a two-stop subway ride.
Taxi/Uber will cost about $6-$12 dollars depending on traffic. Pick up on the 8th Avenue side of Penn station
What if I just want to attend the concerts?

What if I want to attend just one day or two days of camp?
Camp tickets are very limited, so we are unable to sell any individual day passes.
What if I can't afford to pay for the camp all at once?
We offer a payment plan to divide your payment into three parts, this plan is available here.
What do I need to bring to camp with me?
Just your instrument and your love of music!
Will private lessons be available with the teachers?
No, however all students will get small classes with all teachers involved in the music camp. This will allow teachers to provide you with instruction at your individual ability level.
Can I get a refund?
If you ask before Dec 22nd then you can get 100% refund. After this date there is a $300 penalty. After Jan 22nd there is a $450 penalty. After Feb 22nd there is no refund.
